The Hottest New Heartthrob To Hit The Silver Screen

Diamond, who is internationally known in the karate world, has won numerous matches in various forms of martial arts. He is a 4th degree black belt in Chung Do Kwan Korean Karate, a 1st degree black belt in Shotokan, a brown belt in Judo, and a brown belt in Rickson Gracie Jiu-jitsu.

Diamond was recently selected to star as the romantic/action hero in the upcoming film Dark Corners, which is currently being filmed in Philadelphia, PA. He was selected after the writer/director of the film, Jillian Bullock and her producer Delayne Powe, went searching for a guy who could kick ass in martial arts, but who also had the ‘look' for movies. They found
Diamond teaching classes at his school in downtown Philadelphia. Bullock, who is a martial artist, wrestler, and boxer herself, walked away from her first meeting with Diamond impressed by his style, grace, skill, and thorough knowledge of martial arts. Powe was more effected by Diamond's charisma and drop dead, ruggedly handsome good looks. "Between his dark, piercing eyes, and his great looks, he reminds me of a young Mel Gibson, Powe states. "The perfect look for Hollywood." Needless to say, Diamond was offered the role on the spot.

Even though Diamond has never acted in a film, he believes he can use his discipline from martial arts to become a great actor. The discipline Diamond speaks of started many years ago. He had already been a well known and respected martial artist for more than 10 years when he started training regularly in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 1993. Two years later in 1995, he won first place in the second annual East Coast Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Heavyweight Championship. In 1997 Joe won the Blue Belt Open Masters Division at the 1997 International Jiu-Jitsu Championships at UCLA. In 1999, Joe won The National Jiu-Jitsu Championships Open, which was featured on ESPN. Also in 1999, Joe won the WKC World Combat Championship Open No Holds Barred Tournament held at the University of Delaware. In 2000, Joe won the Grappler's Quest in NY, advanced heavyweight division and VI Pan American Gold Medallist-Purple and is a 2000 Pan American Gold Medallist.

Between his action scenes and his hot, passionate love scenes in Dark Corners, Diamond (whose co-star and leading lady is Bullock) will have Hollywood taking notice of the newest and hottest action star in town.
